Banker's Draft

A cheque drawn by a bank,
usually on its own head office.It is generally accepted as the equivalent of cash,
although it needs to be paid in through the banks’ “clearing system” in the same way
as any other cheque.

The local authority is responsible for inspecting and issuing any necessary
building approvals or consents, although the NHBC normally inspects any new
house which is being built with the benefit of an NHBC guarantee.
