Local conveyancer takes on My Home Moveathon challenge
July 1, 2015As part of the My Home Moveathon challenge, which took place between Thursday 2nd and Monday 6th July, Head of Legal Practice, Rob Gurney, walked 132 miles, starting in Northampton and stopping in Leicester on his way to Manchester, visiting each of My Home Move’s conveyancing operation centres.
In addition, My Home Move employees were challenged to travel as many miles as possible, by completing various activities such as walking, running and cycling, over the course of five days.
The aim of the My Home Moveathon was to raise money for the My Home Move Charitable Trust, through which My Home Move hopes to raise £15,000 in 2015.
Through the Charitable Trust, My Home Move supports a number of homelessness organisations, including:
- The Bridge: From Homelessness to Hope
- The Hope Centre in Northampton
- Mustard Tree in Manchester
Staff raise money through events such as the annual Charity Trek and the My Home Moveathon.
My Home Move currently employs over 400 members of staff across Leicestershire and plans to recruit an additional 200 people over the next 2 years.
