My Home Move wins at the Legal Week Innovation Awards 2017 – ‘Future of Legal Services Innovation’
My Home Move, has won the ‘Future of Legal Services Innovation’ award at this year’s Legal Week Innovation Awards.
The ceremony, which was held on Friday 26th May at The Brewery, London, celebrated creative excellence in the legal profession. Judges included Jeremy Barton (General Counsel, KPMG), Dame Janet Gaymer (Non-Executive member, House of Commons Commission), Georgina Stanley (Editor of Legal Week) and Chris Johnson (Chief Global Correspondent of The American Lawyer).
Speaking of the win, Doug Crawford, CEO of My Home Move, said,
“My Home Move has always been at the forefront of innovation in the legal sector. We continue to develop new ways of working that challenge the traditional expectations of legal services. With our online case-management service eWay, which was the first of its kind in the industry, as well as new initiatives that we launched this year, we are making the conveyancing experience for clients faster, more efficient and easier to manage.”
My Home Move recently announced that it will launch the Nuance Biometrics Platform for clients later this year, which checks the clients ID using voice recognition. Once launched, the voice biometrics system will ensure clients no longer have to answer a series of security questions when they call to speak to their conveyancer. Instead their voice will be matched to a recording, or print, taken during the company’s initial ID verification process.
Continuing, Doug said, “Consumer expectations are constantly changing, especially with the advancement of artificial intelligence and technology. As a legal service provider, we strive to adapt our service to meet the clients’ needs and challenge tradition to shape the future of our industry. I would like to thank my colleagues at My Home Move for the incredible and creative ways they move our service forward and for continuing to innovate to revolutionise the customer experience of conveyancing.”
The shortlist for the category included Linklaters (who came Highly Commended), Ashfords, Ashurst, Harper James, Lawyers Inc., Mills & Reeve, Bond Dickinson, Kennedys, My Home Move, Pinsent Masons & Everton Football Club and Taylor Wessing.
