My Home Move announces support of new good causes
April 7, 2015My Home Move has announced its support of two new charitable organisations: The Hope Centre (Northampton) and Mustard Tree (Manchester). This takes the number of good causes the company supports to five.
My Home Move has supported a number of charities for many years, including The Bridge: Homelessness to Hope based in Leicester, the Snahalaya Children’s Home in India and the Peristera Orphanage in Sri Lanka.
Through its Charitable Trust, My Home Move donated £14,300 in 2014, which is the largest amount of money it has ever been able to give. Staff raised money through events such as the annual Charity Trek, fancy-dress days and charity coffee machines. In addition, employees can enrol in the Payroll Giving scheme to donate a chosen amount directly from their monthly wages.
Rob Gurney, Head of Legal Practice and My Home Move Charitable Trust trustee, has said, “We are delighted to be supporting both The Hope Centre and Mustard Tree. At My Home Move we are passionate about our contribution to the wider community, and through our fundraising we are able to help these organisations to provide their vital services. Having been to The Bridge to deliver their cheque for £4,500 last year it is evident just how much our donations make a difference and we want to make sure all of them get the help that they need by raising even more money this year.”
Doug Crawford, CEO of My Home Move, has said, “Our people have shown their commitment to aiding our good causes through their fundraising events, including the My Home Move Annual Charity Trek, which in 2014 raised the largest amount of money in its history. Being able to raise money for causes that have personal connections to our staff is a great way of getting involved in the wider community.”
My Home Move is always looking for talented, professional and customer-focused people to join its growing business.
