My Home Move truly is a great place to work – and I’m not just saying that because I’m biased. I can honestly say that I have rarely come across a business that rewards its people in the way that My Home Move does.
For example, we are fast approaching our yearly summer events. Traditionally, we’ve held a Family Fun Day for all of our employees, but as we’ve continued to grow, our events have grown too.
This year, we’ll be hosting our ‘Summer Weekenders’ in Northampton, Leicester and Manchester, giving all employees the opportunity to choose from 3 very different events. There’s Greyhound Racing, an Outdoor Cinema and Bowling on offer – so there’s certainly something for everyone and – of course – it is all free of charge for our employees.
Events such as these give us time to interact with our colleagues from across the UK, and also gives employees a chance to engage and relax with each other outside of work. These fabulous events are generally talked about years down the line and bought up in conversations with our industry partners and potential employees.
If you’re a regular follower of our blog, you will have read about our annual Customer at the Heart awards last year – so you will know that we invest heavily in recognising, rewarding and treating our employees.
Seeing everyone fully enjoy their time together at these events puts the importance of the relationship between company and employee into perspective for me. It’s not just about getting together to have a good time – it’s about creating a community and rewarding contribution.
93% of employees who feel valued at work are also motivated do their best, and this shows in the weeks and months after every event we host.* But more importantly, it gives us an opportunity as a business to show our employees that we truly recognise all that they do to make My Home Move the market-leader.
They are the ones that keep us innovating, they are the ones that keep our clients moving and they are the ones that are putting My Home Move at the forefront of the conveyancing revolution.
Investing in the happiness and wellbeing of your employees is a no-brainer – happy employees = happy clients. So whether you can go all-out and throw a huge party, or whether your budget will only stretch to a box a chocolates, it’s all money well spent.
